∙ Travemünde is located in northern Germany and is one of the country's main ports on the Baltic Sea. The city was founded in the 12th century as a stronghold and, in 1329, was incorporated into the city of Lübeck, of which it is still a district today. Head to the lighthouse, which was built in 1539 and is the oldest on the German Baltic coast. Following the construction of a taller lighthouse, it lost its original function and today houses the town's maritime museum.

∙ Take the car and reach Lübeck in half an hour! Visit the city's landmark, the Holstentor, an ancient Gothic gate. Walk along the waterfront and see the 20 perfectly restored museum ships. Admire the Gothic churches that characterise this magnificent city.
🌳 Immerse yourself in nature! Less than 1 hour's drive away you will find the Lenorenwald forest, a protected area where you can stroll along well-maintained paths and observe a special feature: two large American redwoods that mark this area.
