Ferries to Fuerteventura Ferry connections and travel information!

If there is one place in the Canary islands that embodies the myth of the always-sunny paradise with endless white sand beaches, crystal-clear waters and a peaceful lifestyle that respects nature and human beings, it is undoubtedly Fuerteventura.

For this reason, it is one of the favorite places for tourists visiting the archipelago and is becoming increasingly popular among "digital nomads."

Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Canary Islands and is located less than 100 km from the African coast. The name seems to suggest the importance of wind to its territory and probably its good fortune: in addition to mitigating high temperatures, the currents that lash Fuerteventura transport from the Sahara the sand that makes up its beaches and create extraordinary landscapes, such as the dunes of Corralejo, as well as making it one of the most popular places in Europe for surfing and windsurfing.

🚢 How to get to Fuerteventura by ferry.

If you are on the mainland and want to reach Fuerteventura by sea, there is only one route available:

Cadiz âž” Puerto del Rosario

Within the archipelago, Fuerteventura lies between Lanzarote and Gran Canaria and is well connected by ferries by Fred. Olsen Express , Naviera Armas and Líneas Romero.

TIP: this itinerary is in high demand, so we recommend booking well in advance, especially if you are traveling with a vehicle or want to secure specific accommodations, such as a pet-friendly cabin

An alternative solution to ferries from Cadiz may be to depart from Huelva to Las Palmas and then select one of the routes to Fuerteventura.

From Gran Canaria it is possible to reach Fuerteventura via two connections:

• Las Palmas - Morro Jable (suitable for a day trip).

Las Palmas - Puerto del Rosario

If you are in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura can be reached by the routes:

• Arrecife - Puerto del Rosario

• Playa Blanca - Corralejo (suitable for a day trip).

Where to stay in Fuerteventura

Corralejo for young people. Corralejo is located in the north of the island, just across from Lanzarote. Some of the best resort and nightlife can be found here. There is no shortage of beaches, given the proximity of the Parque Natural de las Dunas de Corralejo, which are very wide and washed by beautiful turquoise waters.

Morro Jable for beaches. Located on the Jandía Peninsula, Morro Jable is on the southern coast and is the closest port to Gran Canaria. Here you will also find many tourist facilities and, all around, wonderful beaches and breathtaking landscapes, such as the immense Playa del Matorral or the striking Playa de Cofete, at the foot of the Pico de la Zarza. Morro Jable is also chosen for its climate, warm, sunny and protected from the northeast wind.

Caleta de Fuste with the family. Here there are beaches with calm waters sheltered from the wind, ideal for bathing even the youngest children. The village is charming, small and quiet, but there is no shortage of bars and restaurants and all the tourist facilities. Nearby is Oasis Park, a zoo with a botanical garden, and the historic town of Betancuria, which is well worth a visit.
