The ports of Menorca are two, Mahon on the east coast and Ciutadella, the main port on the west coast of the island. From the ports of Valencia, Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca, connections to Menorca are scheduled throughout the year. In summer it is also possible to reach Menorca from the French port of Toulon.
You can reach the port of Mahon from Barcelona, Valencia and Palma de Mallorca, while you can reach the port of Ciutadella only from Barcelona only. Ferries to Menorca from the mainland take between 6 and 15 hours to arrive at your destination. Vehicles, luggage and pets can be brought on board, although each company applies different travel conditions.
Regardless of the type of accommodation chosen, whether armchair or cabin, all travelers on board the ships to Menorca have access to common areas and various facilities such as bars, restaurants, TV rooms, game areas and cinemas.
From Mallorca, the ferry company departs from the port of Alcúdia and arrives in the port of Ciutadella while Transmediterránea serves the route from Palma to Mahon. These routes can take between 2 and 6 hours, and passengers on board have all the necessary amenities to ensure a pleasant crossing: plenty of seats, comfortable chairs, bar and catering services, TV rooms and sometimes cabins and game areas.
