If you want to visit several islands but don't know how to get around, here is a list of all the ports in the Balearic Islands and an overview of possible connections (click on the island name for more details):
- Mallorca is connected to the mainland and all the other islands through the ports of Palma and Alcúdia.
- Menorca makes sailings to Mallorca and the mainland. Its ports are Ciutadella and Mahón.
- Ibiza, from its namesake port, has connections to Formentera, Majorca, and the mainland. The piers at Figueretas and Playa d'en Bossa offer additional departures to Formentera.
- Formentera has only one port that connects it to Ibiza, Majorca, and the mainland.
To plan your boat trip on MrFerry, you will need to select routes between two specific ports. If that route is not available, you will be offered an alternative route in the ports on the same island and/or on the date closest to the one you want.
๐ข Ferry companies in the Balearic Islands:
From the mainland you will find ferries from the Balearia, Trasmed and Grandi Navi Veloci companies, which usually operate at night and throughout the year. The ports of departure are Barcelona, Valencia and Denia.
From continental Europe, Corsica Ferries offers ferries from Toulon to Majorca and Menorca. Departures are overnight and run only during the summer.
Between the islands, departures are scheduled by Trasmapi, Aquabus, Ibiza Sea Cruises, Mediterranea Pitiusa, and also Balearia and Trasmed.
Some departures are by ferry, others by hydrofoil or catamaran, which are faster and ideal for a day trip.
