Vigo ferries Connections and port services

Vigo is a city in the province of Pontevedra, located in northwestern Spain, on the southern shore of the Ria de Vigo, a well-known tourist center of the autonomous community of Galicia.

The port of Vigo is considered one of the most important on the Spanish Atlantic coast. Located in the Ria de Vigo, it is naturally protected by its location and has been exploited since Roman times for the development of maritime trade.

The current port is divided into a commercial port and a fishing port and is a key center for transatlantic cargo traffic, cruise ship activity and ferry connections with other cities in the Ria.

With ferries from the port of Vigo you can also set sail to discover the beautiful National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia, formed by the Cies Islands, Ons Island and the small islands of Sálvora and Cortegada, and the archipelago of San Simón.

🚢 Departures from the port of Vigo.

The service is provided by the two companies Naviera Nabia and Mar de Ons.

Both ferries from Vigo sail to the neighboring Cíes Islands throughout the year and to the Island of Ons in the months and days of high season.

Boat trips to San Simón Island only run from May to October, with some departures on special event holidays.

🛎️ Services in the Vigo port area

The city of Vigo has developed around its port, so the embarkation area is integrated into the city center.

Near the piers to the Galician Islands, there is a maritime station with all the ticket offices of the shipping companies and some services for passengers, such as bars, restaurants and toilets. There are parking spaces, where you can leave your vehicle to board the ferries to the islands.

In front of the maritime ticket office there is a shopping center with all the stores you may need.
