When summer approaches, among the most popular destinations we always find the Gulf of Naples, a wide inlet in the Tyrrhenian Sea south of the city of Naples. The port of Seiano is located in a wide inlet on the Sorrentine Peninsula, main port to the town of Vico Equense and connected to the town center and the reail stations of Seiano and Vico Equense. 

Private and fishing boats find shelter in the harbor and, during the summer period, this is populated with tourists from all over the world making the port area among the busiest in the town with its bars, restaurants, beaches and hotels. 

The port of Seiano is connected to the port of Capri  by the Laser Capri shipping company, to the port of Castellammare di St. thanks to the Seremar company, which also connects Seiano to the port of Sorrento together with the NLG shipping company, which also runs the Amlafi Seiano and Positano Seiano routes. 

The marina offers various essential services such as parking, toilets, information office, and thanks to its proximity to the town center, restaurants, accommodations, stores, supermarkets, banks, and pharmacies are also available.

Seiano ferries About Seiano

Once you arrive in Seiano, visit the Grotta di Seiano, a nearly 800-meter-long tunnel that connects Bagnoli with the Gaiola valley. The cave is an artificial tunnel built in Roman times and opened permanently to the public in 2009.

Walking along the grotto you will reach the Pausilypon Archaeological Park, dating back to the first century B.C. It was built by the Roman Pollione and later given to Augustus, a complex that included in addition to the villa, gardens, spa facilities, entertainment areas and port structures. Continuing along the path in the woods you will reach aviewpoint with a view of Gaiola, known as the house of the spirits.

Seiano is an excellent starting point for visiting the rest of the Gulf of Naples, such as the excavations of Pompeii, which are only a 30-minute drive away. Here you can stroll through the streets of ancient Pompeii, a testament to Roman life and the best-preserved city of that era.
