Samos (Vathy) ferries About Samos (Vathy)

The fascinating Samos Vathy comes to life from the famous legend, in fact Juno goddess of childbirth and marriage is thought to have been born on this island. In addition, Samos is the birthplace of the world-renowned Pythagoras, the father of mathematics.

Vathy is the capital of the island, the most lively and bustling town, built in the beautiful natural bay, with its amphitheater-like structure.
The Turkish coast is very close to Samos, in fact on the island you will find a strong eastern influence, not typically Greek.
The city has many streets that twist together and lead you to discover the churches and the museums.
One of the neighborhoods you should visit is Ano Vathi, a small picturesque village with many locales, including bars and restaurants.
Visit the fascinating Archaeological Museum, where you'll find lots of finds or the imposing church of Agios Spyridon, which is very fascinating! Outside the town of Vathy, you will find the monastery of Zoodohos Pigi, with beautiful paintings inside.

You will discover a town full of life, so you can spend your vacation both in the name of art and culture, but also in the name of fun, especially at night!

Among the many wonderful beaches, we recommend you visit Potami beach, near Karlovassi, a golden sandy beach, surrounded by rich vegetation, very quiet and wild!
Near the beach, you will find the incredible waterfalls of Potami, an enchanted place, reachable only by a long walk surrounded by nature.

In the northern part of Samos you will find Lemonakia beach, characterized by pebbles and equipped with umbrellas and deck chairs.
On the East Coast, you will find the beaches of Klima and Kerveli, surrounded by pine forests and encircled by a pristine blue sea, protected from the winds.
