The village of Karlovassi is located in the northern part of the island of Samos.
The area is divided into three zones:
The old part, the village center, and the new town, with its neoclassical buildings. Arriving in Karlovassi you should visit the incredible Church of the Holy Trinity, which stands on the highest peak of the village. The church of Agios Nikoalos, in neoclassical style, with its white and blue colors.
One of the most breathtaking places to visit are the Potami Falls, you can reach them from a path through the woods, there you can admire the Byzantine castle. Another of the most scenic places is undoubtedly the Paleo Karlovasi, from there you can admire the wonderful scenery of the old town, surrounded by the blue sea.
During 2017 a street art festival was performed, where the most famous street artists painted the old parts of the city, returning life and color to the abandoned areas.
The small beach of Karlovassi with its small pebbles and fine sand and its calm, clear turquoise sea, you will look forward to a relaxing swim! Another popular beach is Potami beach, surrounded by unspoiled nature.
Near the most popular beaches, you can relax in traditional taverns, which will serve you traditional fish dishes caught by local fishermen.
