The Port of Rosslare is situated on the south-eastern corner of Ireland, in County Wexford. There is an intense maritime traffic of passengers and goods to the British, French and Spanish ports.

The Rosslare ferry terminal is considered a small village offering many services includinding a bar-restaurant, car rental agency, shops, drinks and vending machines, waiting lounge, assistance, and facilities for people with reduced mobility, parking, taxi and shuttle buses. It is easily accessible by car or public transport.

Formerly known as Rosslare Harbour, the port area now features four embarkation sites which the ferries of the ferrycompanies Stena Line, Brittany Ferries and Irish Ferries depart from.

Wales offers the fastest connection to Ireland. Stena Line's super ferry serves the 3.5-hour crossing to Fishguard twice a day. To connect the port of Pembroke to Rosslare, Irish Ferries also provides a 4-hour crossing twice a day. For a journey to the North of France, the Rosslare Roscoff ferry connection is operated by Brittany Ferries. The crossing lasts 11 hours and is performed once a week with departure in the evening. Normandy and its port Cherbourg is linked to Ireland by Stena Line ferries with three departures per week and a sailing time of 17hours.

Further, the Brittany Ferries company connects Ireland to Spain with the Rosslare Bilbao line, Basque Country. Departures from Rosslare are twice a week and the crossing takes almost 28 hours.

The port of Rosslare is a 2.15 hour drive from Dublin and 3 hours from Cork. The only railway station is a 15 minute walk from the ferry terminal which trains to Dublin depart from. Bus services to Dublin and Waterford run every hour.
