The ferry terminal is located at the northern end of the port and it offers basic services like a café, a streamlined check in service, toilets, a shop, a baby care room and a waiting room. The ferry terminal disposes of facilities for passengers with reduced mobility like accessible restorooms and aisles.

Kapellskär is a small community located to the North of Stockholm, it lies in between of the cold waters of the Baltic Sea and the evergreen woodland.

From this tiny village is possible to reach the nearby Norrtälje, a small town that comes alive during the summer; the Societetsparken is the main attraction of the town, a wide park which hosts concerts and other events during the summer.

Not far from Kapellskär, the city of Uppsala is a very lively city with a great cultural scene; the town hosts several museums, but also a great cathedral and a famous University.

It is possible to reach the ferry terminal of the port by car from Stockholm by taking the E18 motorway and then follow the signs for the Kapellskär Ferry port.

Buses and coaches regularly operate this route too, with services that depart from and to the Cityterminal in central Stockholm. Bus departure times are scheduled to meet all departing and arriving ferries.
