Ferries to Inousses Port connections and services

Near the Turkish coast you will find one of the most fashionable islands of the moment.
Inousses are a group of Greek islands near the famous Chios

These islands are highly frequented by elite tourism, here they have purchased summer villas so that they can enjoy their vacation.

During the Roman period this group of islands was called Oinos, while in the medieval period the Genoese called them Spermandores.

In the early 1800s armartorians made these islands internationally known, and thanks to this there was a strong development of the shipbuilding industry.

The town is positioned on a square, near you will find the small harbor, the port of Inousses is quite close to the city center, reachable by foot. With an easy walking distance passengers can find various services such as hotels, resorts, bars, restaurants, grocery stores, ATM’s and shops. The only public transport service available on the island are few local taxi.

From the small port you will be able to board the Blue Star Ferries ferry company, which with its crew will make you a pleasant crossing to the neighboring islands and the mainland. Among the many travel options you will have: Chios, Evidilos, Kavala, Lesvos, Limnos, Piraeus and Samos Karlovassi.

HERE IS A TIP: if you want the cheapest tickets on the market, ideally you should look for them months in advance so as not to fall into the trap of the high season when prices soar!

Inousses ferries About Inousses

The delightful archipelago of the Inousses Islands will welcome you for a unique vacation! These islands are not easy to reach because of their isolated location, it is thought that the name of the island derives from the name oinos, meaning wine, given the many vineyards overlooking the hills or from aega, meaning goat, given the many shepherds who moved to the island.

The archipelago is represented by a group of islands, located near the Turkish coast. The only inhabited island is Oinoussa, then you can also explore the other smaller islands such as: Vatos, Avloni, Archontoniso, Panaya and Potikoniso.

The island has very rich and green vegetation, which is another reason why many tourists visit the island. The town is characterized by Mediterranean architecture, with the famous white houses and villas of wealthy shipowners.

In the old town you will find the old naval high school and the famous maritime museum, where you can contemplate Glykas' wonderful paintings and see models of ships used during the Napoleonic period.

During your vacation, you can go on trekking routes surrounded by nature, with real trails equipped for even the most extreme sports.
