Ferries to L'Ile RoussePort connections and services

L'Ile Rousse is a French municipality in the northwest of Corsica and belongs to the district of Calvi. The port area is located on the island “Ile de la Pietra”, connected to the city centre by a scenic road.

The port area is located on a small island connected to the city by a road, enjoys a good surveillance service and an excellent organizational plan of ferry embarkation and disembarkation activities.

The number of passengers who choose the convenience of ferries to L'Île Rousse grows exponentially during summer vacation periods.

L'Île-Rousse is located in the north-west of Corsica. It is part of the district of Calvi and faces the island of Pietra. Considered a beautiful seaside resort on the Mediterranean coast, Île-Rousse covers a very small area of about 2.5 km2.

🛥️ From the port of L'Île-Rousse, year-round connections to the south of mainland France are provided by Corsica Linea and Corsica Ferries shipping companies to Toulon, Marseille, and Nice.
During the summer period, crossings intensify. The Italian ports of Savona and Livorno are also connected to Ile-Rousse during the summer.

The moorings in Ile-Rousse are very close to the city centre, so passengers can walk to all services such as stores, markets, pharmacies, and banks. Car, motorcycle and bicycle rentals are available. Buses and cabs are always available to connect the city with the suburbs.

Traffic management at the port is facilitated by the large number of car parks. Public transport is available around the port, providing links to the city centre and suburbs.

L'Ile Rousse ferries About L'Ile Rousse

The combination of unspoilt nature and a valuable cultural heritage makes Île-Rousse a popular tourist destination.

⛪ Founded in the 18th century, the town centre is a must-see with its narrow cobbled streets and numerous historical monuments, such as the large Place Paoli, where the bust of the famous Pascal Paoli is located, and the Church of the Immaculate Conception. The town also has a covered market where you can find all the typical products of Corsica.

The Lungomare Marinella promenade runs around the entire town and allows you to admire the most beautiful beaches on the Ile Rousse. Don't miss the statue of the Bronze Mermaid, who looks out over the horizon and shows the way to the fishermen.

The symbol of the city, however, is Stone Island, from which the city takes its name. It is easily accessible from the city centre. Around the island you can see the stone islets that surround it: Roccio, Roccetto and Piano.

🏖️ The city also has some beautiful beaches, one of them being the Spiaggia d'Isola Rossa, characterized by fine white sand, you will find it close to the city centre. Another beach worth a visit is Bodri Beach, a beach of crystal clear water and white sand.

If you like to stay active during your holiday, many water sports are available such as kayaking, paddleboarding or scuba diving to explore the seabed.
