Book on MrFerry your ferry from/to Bilbao at the best price

Bilbao, located in northern Spain, is the most important city in the autonomous community of the Basque Country and the capital of the province of Biscay. It is one of the country's most important economic and industrial centers.

The port of Bilbao, once located in the city center, is now at the mouth of the Nervión estuary in the Santurzi conurbation. It is considered a first-class commercial port and one of the top five in Spain. Its commercial business of transporting goods and people connects more than 500 ports around the world.

Operated by Brittany ferries, ferries from Bilbao connect Spain with the port of Portsmouth in England and the port of Rosslare in Ireland. These departures run 1 or 2 times a week.

The Bilbao ferry terminal is located about 20 km from the city center and has basic facilities including a cafeteria, restrooms and parking for caravans and RVs. Special facilities for people with reduced mobility are also available. Restaurants, stores, hotels, and hospitals are located in the village of Zanturzi, about a 10-minute drive away.

HERE IS A TIPif you want the cheapest tickets on the market, ideally you should look for them months in advance so as not to fall into the trap of the high season when prices soar!

Bilbao ferries About Bilbao

Bilbao is a dynamic, innovative and culturally rich place, take time to discover its attractions, relax on the beach or wander in the city streets!

Your trip should definitely include a visit to the Guggenheim Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art and the city's old quarter, Las Siete Calles on the banks of the Nervión River where you can stroll around the narrow stone streets and admire the bridges, churches, and the important Santiago Cathedral.

Other stops not to be missed while visiting Bilbao are the Arriaga Theater, the Maritime Museum, Plaza Bizkaia, and the Museum of Fine Arts.

For a moment of pure relaxation, we recommend the Jardines de Albia, a plaza in the heart of Bilbao, or the Parque de Doña Casilda Iturrizar, a large park with play areas for children and cafeterias for older children.

Looking for a breathtaking view of Bilbao? A funicular railway will take you to the top of Mount Artxanda, which also houses restaurants, a sports complex, and a balcony with panoramic views.
