General Conditions of Use and acceptance there of:

 

The present General Conditions of Use of the Website, along with the general contract conditions that govern the provision of services and/or the individual conditions that may be established, have the purpose of regulating both the information that is provided as well as business relationships that occur between Líneas Marítimas Romero and the users of the website. Both browsing and/or using any of the website services imply acceptance on behalf of the User, without reservations of any kind, of each and every one of the present General Conditions of Use from the General Contract Conditions that govern the provision of services offered on the website and/or from the individual conditions that may be established.

The information that appears on this website is valid on the date of its latest update. Líneas Marítimas Romero reserves all rights to update, modify or delete information from this website, and may limit or disallow access thereto.

This website may not be altered, changed, modified or adapted. However, Líneas Marítimas Romero reserves the right to make as many changes and modifications that they deem appropriate, at any time, and may make use of that right at any time without previous warning.

Líneas Marítimas Romero reserves the right to update the general transportation conditions at any time. These changes and modifications shall not affect the contracts already agreed to between Líneas Marítimas Romero and its clients, regardless of modifications that may be mutually agreed to, unforeseen circumstances or cases of Force Majeure.

 

The traveller’s Regulation

 

Regulation (EU) No 1177/2010 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 November 2010 establishes the rights of passengers traveling by sea and inland waterways. In cases not covered by this document.

Based on the applicable regulations, Líneas Marítimas Romero establishes the following conditions for the clients of the services provided in the routes of La Graciosa-Órzola and Playa Blanca-Corralejo.

 

PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES OR REDUCED MOBILITY

We ensure easy boarding and a comfortable ride for travellers with disabilities or reduced mobility. There will be no surcharge on your locomotion means unless they have very special dimensions and/or characteristics.

These passengers and their companions must notify the carrier at the ticket offices of the port of origin in order to pass the information to the crew of the boat that will do the service.

It is advisable to be at the pier 10 minutes before boarding so that your access and accommodation can be prioritized.

 

DATES AND HOURS OF BOARDING. VALIDITY OF TICKETS.

The tickets expire after 12 months, as of that date it ceases to be valid and cannot be reimbursed.

The traveller can make changes in the dates and times of boarding until the day of the boarding.

With the exception of tickets that are subject to promotions or other special limitations, the traveller may change the date or time of boarding whenever the destination stays the same as of the boarding pass bought and whenever there are places available on the boat.

The traveller must be present at least 5 minutes in advance at the point of boarding stipulated in the ticket or boarding pass except for the residents NOT accepted by the SARA system or the large family members who will have to go through a box office with a minimum of 20 minutes in advance depending on the case.

The loss of the boat may imply the loss of the reservation or additional costs depending on the specific conditions of the booking of the ticket.

 

CANCELLATION OF TICKETS

The document that specifies the cancellation conditions is available on our website.

 

RIGHTS IN CASE OF SERVICE CANCELLATION

In case of interruption of the service the company will inform the travellers as soon as possible.

In case of delays, if the delay of the departure is greater than 90 minutes, the traveller will be offered free refreshments depending on the waiting time.

When the departure is cancelled or delayed for more than 90 minutes, passengers will have an immediate right to travel to the final destination on the first occasion that is presented and at no additional cost or to refund the ticket price and, if applicable, a free return service to the first starting point.

Líneas Romero shall not be obliged to provide passengers with any service or benefit when the cancellation or delay is due to meteorological conditions that endanger the navigation of the ship.

Complaint sheets regarding the rights and obligations set out in the Regulations are available. The original and copy of the ticket or boarding pass must be presented.

 

LUGGAGE

The traveller may carry personal hand luggage up to 20 kg in weight.

For other types of luggage, you have to inform the ticket clerks to consult if it is possible to transport them and, if necessary, the additional cost involved.

Líneas Romero is not responsible for any loss of luggage or damage to the material.

The transport of illegal substances and dangerous goods covered by code I.M.D.G. is prohibited.

Regarding the responsibility for luggage, the company will respond using the applicable regulations.

 

OBLIGATIONS OF PASSENGERS

Passengers are required to identify themselves by means of valid identification documents such as the DNI/NIE or passport both at the time of purchase and at the time of boarding. The document submitted must be valid.

The traveller must be the holder of the ticket and the boarding pass valid for the time of journey to be embarked. The ticket is NOT transferable to another holder.

Residents who have not been accepted by the SARA telematics system of the Ministry of Development must pass by the ticket office 15 minutes before the departure of the boat and present the DNI/NIE or Passport and the residence documentation (Certificate of Registration or Travel Certificates) in order to be validated and receive the discount.

Large family members must go through the box office with a minimum of 20 minutes in advance to be able to obtain the discount by providing a valid Numerous Family card and the valid identification such as DNI/NIE or Passport.

The traveller must behave in accordance with the safety and police regulations, both general and of the boat; the company does not take the responsibility of the results produced by the passengers’ imprudence or negligence or by breach of the indicated rules.

Intellectual and Industrial Property

 

All website content, such as photographs, graphics, images, texts, icons, technology, software, links and the other audiovisual content or sounds, in addition to the graphic design (hereinafter called the “Content”) and source codes, are the intellectual property of Líneas Marítimas Romero, the website developer, or third parties and are properly registered or in the process of registering, without any of the rights of use being ceded to the User beyond what is strictly necessary for the correct use of the website.

Líneas Marítimas Romero does not grant any license or authorization of use of any kind to its intellectual and industrial property rights or rights related to the web page and the services offered.

Modifying, copying, altering, reproducing, adapting or translating the content by the User or third parties is expressly prohibited without authorization thereof.

The User is authorized to copy and print extracts or documents from this website, except for content that is the property of a third party and that has been identified as such, for non-commercial use, as long as these copies and print-outs show the copyright notices and other intellectual property rights and all the exemptions from liability present therein. None of the logos and registered trademarks of Líneas Marítimas Romero may be used or reproduced without our previous written authorization.

Making these elements, which are the property of Líneas Marítimas Romero or of third parties, available that appear on the website do not imply, in any case, the cessation of ownership thereof or the concession of rights of use in favor of the User.

Regardless of what was specifically mentioned previously, the total or partial reproduction of this website content in any way, including the framework, the creation of any work derived from this website and/or in its content and the incorporation of its content to other web pages, to electronic recovery systems or to publications are prohibited.
If any User or third party considers that their legal rights have been violated due to certain content being included on the website, they must report this circumstance immediately to Líneas Marítimas Romero.

Any attempts to obtain web content by any means other than those that are made available to the Users in addition to those that are normally used on the network are prohibited, as long as they do not cause any damage to the website of Líneas Marítimas Romero.

In any case, Líneas Marítimas Romero shall have no obligation to the user with respect to said information, and reserves the right to withhold it at any time and without prior warning.

 

Exclusion from liability

 

Líneas Marítimas Romero shall not be liable for possible damages or losses that may derive from interferences, omissions, interruptions, IT viruses, telephone repairs or disconnections in the operational functioning of this electronic system, caused outside of Líneas Marítimas Romero; for delays or blocks in the use of the present electronic system caused by deficiencies or overcharges in the Data Processing Center, of telephone lines, in the Internet system or in other electronic systems; nor for damages that may be caused by third parties through illegitimate omissions outside the control of Líneas Marítimas Romero. In addition, Líneas Marítimas Romero is exempt from all liability for any damage or loss that the user may suffer as the result of errors, defects and omissions, in the information provided as long as they were caused by foreign sources. Notwithstanding the previous statement, in no case shall the existing contracts between Líneas Marítimas Romero and its clients be affected except in cases of unforeseen circumstances or Force Majeure.

 

User Obligations

 

In general, the User is required to comply with the present General Conditions of Use, in addition to complying with the special warnings or instructions of use contained therein or on the website and always operate according to the law, good practices and the demands of good faith, using due diligence adequate to the nature of the service that they enjoy, abstaining from using the website in any way that may impede, damage or deteriorate the normal functioning thereof, the property or rights of Líneas Marítimas Romero, its suppliers, the rest of the Users or in general of any third party.

Likewise, the user is committed to communicating to Líneas Marítimas Romero, as soon as possible, loss or theft in addition to any risk of access to the “Username” and/or the “Password” by a third party; (v) not perform marketing, promotional or commercial activities on the website, not to use the content and specifically, the information obtained through the website in order to issue publicity, send messages for direct sales purposes or any other commercial purpose, nor to collect or store personal information from third parties; (vi) not use false identities or supplant the identity of others in using the website or in the use of any of the services of the website, including the use, if applicable, of passwords or access codes of third parties or of any other form; (vii) not destroy, alter, use for your own benefit or damage the data, information, programs or electronic documents of Líneas Marítimas Romero, its suppliers or third parties; (vii) not enter, store or disseminate through the website any content that infringes on the rights of intellectual or industrial property or business secrets of third parties, or in general any content that is not permissible, in conformance with the law, to be made available to third parties.

Like with the use of the data included in the database, we are committed to respecting confidentiality and to use them according to the purposes of the database, registered in the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

 

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

 

The present General Conditions shall be interpreted and governed in conformance with Spanish legislation.

For any legal question derived from the existence, access, use or content of the General Conditions, both the Client and Líneas Marítimas Romero, expressly waive any other jurisdiction that may apply, and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts and Tribunals of Arrecife.

HOW CAN I ISSUE MY TICKET?

When booking online, once the payment is complete, you will receive a confirmation email with the boarding passes of all passengers, as well as the Mobile Quick Boarding Cards (QR code).

You can print boarding passes and physically deliver them when you board, or if you choose the mobile version, save the QR code and show it before you travel.

WHAT DOCUMENT DO I NEED TO TRAVEL?

IS THERE A TIME LIMIT?

Yes. The deadline for acceptance of passengers to boarding is 10 minutes before the time indicated on the ticket.

After this time limit, the boarding will be closed and, if you arrive late, you will not be able to travel. In addition, if the boarding is already closed, you should know that the company will not incur any liability for not accepting you on board.

CAN I MODIFY OR CANCEL MY BOOKING?

You can modify the dates of your trip or excursion:

  • Excursions: changes can be made up to 24 hours before the departure time

These changes will not involve surcharges.

You can cancel a regular line or excursion booking. In cases of delays and/or cancellations, we are governed by the regulation 1177/2010 of the European Union.

 

Excursions:

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled date: the full amount of the excursión will be reimbursed.
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled departure time: a 100% surcharge will apply on the price of the ticket or excursion.
  • In case the excursion cannot be made due to weather conditions, the company will not assume more responsibility than the obligation to reimburse the amount of the ticket.

  • Changes will be permitted up to 7 days before the scheduled date.
  • Cancellations made more than 7 days before scheduled date: the full amount of the ticket or excursión will be reimbursed.
  • Cancellations or changes made less than 7 days prior to scheduled departure time: a 100 % surcharge will apply on the ticket or excursión.
  • In case the crossing/excursion cannot be made due to weather conditions, the company will not assume more responsibility than the obligation to reimburse the amount of the ticket.
