The ferry company Navigazione Libera del Golfo, still managed by the Aponte family, an ancient Sorrento seafaring family, has been operating maritime services in the Gulf of Naples, on the Amalfi Coast and to the Tremiti Islands for over 80 years.
Officially founded in 1981, during this period the shipping company began an important phase of transformation and renewal so that the historic ferries NLG were replaced by a fleet of fast hydrofoils.
Over the years, Navigazione Libera del Golfo continued to evolve, purchasing modern and technically advanced vessels capable of carrying a greater number of passengers, improving its services and introducing new shipping lines to meet the growing tourist demand.
Today, the connections NLG are carried out with a fleet of 11 fast ferries. Thanks to its commitment and foresight, NLG is today one of the leading Italian companies in passenger transport.

With the Navigazione Libera del Golfo hudrofoils passengers can quickly and practically reach the most beautiful tourist destinations in the Tyrrhenian Sea, such as Capri, Ponza, Sorrento, the Amalfi Coast and the Tremiti Islands in the Adriatic Sea.
To make the crossings pleasant, all NLG hydrofoils are equipped with comfortable seats, a small snack bar and a relaxing air-conditioned environment. Each passenger can take one piece of luggage for free, any additional luggage will cost an extra charge.

On all NLG hydrofoils is allowed to take bicycles and pets on board: during the crossing dogs must be on a leash and muzzled, and the other small animals must remain in their animal transport box.
